What led you to SymbiaVC?
While studying abroad in Istanbul, I took a course on startups and entrepreneurship, where I first learned about venture capital. I was immediately drawn to the idea of working with visionary founders, helping them achieve their goals, and finding creative solutions to problems. That’s when I started researching venture capital firms and discovered SymbiaVC. Their team has an excellent reputation and the projects excited me immediately.
Your current responsibilities at SymbiaVC?
My responsibilities include building and maintaining relationships with other venture capital funds, identifying synergies within our portfolio to create added value. Additionally, I assist the investment team in market and industry research and due diligence processes.
What excites you most about working at SymbiaVC?
The team dynamic is fantastic. We value every idea and opinion, and our flat hierarchy fosters open discussions. Our diverse team ensures that different perspectives come to the table, which helps us become better decision-makers and recognize opportunities that others might overlook.
How has your start-up experience shaped your perspective?
Starting my own business at a young age, with little experience, and during the pandemic taught me a lot. Mistakes as well as successes, helped me understand the various stages of founding a company and the challenges that come with it.
Lastly, what’s your favorite tree?
The apple tree! I spent countless hours climbing them in my grandparent's garden.
